A-Town: Sales and Service from the Experts
Tom and Rich, the A-Town Bike Guys- Tom Jones and Rich Adams launched Around Town Bikes in 2004. Both avid cyclists, Tom and Rich bring a perfect combination of biking industry experiences to their business.
Tom grew up in his family's bicycle shop, Sickler's, a Wilkes-Barre business that served bicycle enthusiasts for 63 years. After selling that business in 1996, Tom gained loads of experience with operations, sales, marketing, and product management positions for a leading bicycle manufacturer. His laid-back style and genuine persona make customers feel right at home. Tom is A-Town's bicycle fitting expert.
Rich's love of bikes developed during long touring rides as a teenager. He decided to change gears from engineering to frame building and has been developing custom bicycles for nearly 8 years. Rich's fabrication shop is on display for visitors to A-Town. He specializes in single and fixed gear construction and would love to custom build a bike for you. Rich also serves as A-Town's master tune-up and repair technician.
Lee joins the A-Town Team- Lee Frantz is Around Town Bicylces first full time employee. He joined the A-Town team in June 2008.
Lee has over 30 years of bicycle industry experience and is helping us to better meet the needs of our customers.We feel very lucky to have found such a high-caliber and knowledgeable employee.
Lee has spent much of the last 30 years in Michigan. He was the mechanic for The Race Across America four times and a team mechanic for five 24 hour world records. He has extensive experience with bike fitting and wheel building and is going to be an integral part of our custom framebuilding ooperation.
Lee has raced road and mountain bikes and has toured Colorado, Italy, New Zealand and Montana. He also enjoys cross country skiing and kayaking.
